Leduc AB – Leduc and District Minor Football Association (‘LDMFA’), a youth football association with over 100 athletes, is delighted to announce a new partnership with HEADCHECK Health (‘HEADCHECK’) — a leading provider of tech-enabled concussion protocol and injury management solutions.
HEADCHECK’s industry-leading technology simplifies the implementation and execution of concussion and injury protocols through its innovative use of mobile, cloud, and analytic technology. As part of this partnership, LDMFA teams will utilize HEADCHECK to execute their concussion protocol and injury reporting process. The technology will be utilized for baseline, post-injury, and return-to-play concussion tests throughout the season as well as reporting on injuries, ensuring a high level of safety for all players.
“We are excited to see Leduc and District Minor Football Association take a proactive approach to concussion management and injury reporting with HEADCHECK,” said Harrison Brown, CEO and Co-Founder of HEADCHECK.
“With having over 100 athletes participating in our Minor Football Program We (LDMFA) were looking for a program that would help track and document any injuries that may occur during the Football Season,” said LDMFA Vice President Jamie Holzinger. “With the HEADCHECK program we can document and follow up instantly. This allows our Medical Trainers and Volunteers to spend more time with the players and less time handwriting injuries on paper.”
Established in 2013 from a concussion research lab, HEADCHECK Health was created to address a critical challenge in the sports medicine industry: the complexity of implementing concussion protocols typically leaves athletes and organizations vulnerable to risk. Since its inception, HEADCHECK’s technology has been embraced by thousands of sports leagues, governing bodies, and regulators, including Major League Soccer and USA Cycling. Notably, HEADCHECK’s solutions have been instrumental in some of the world’s most prestigious sporting events, including the Olympics and Tour de France.
